We had the honour & pleasure of meeting HRH Prince Charles at the Lord Mayor's Big Curry sponsored by us. He even joked about his own email security & of course we were happy to oblige trying to help him with this!
He went onto ask how we were fairing in present economic conditions to which we replied: “very well & if anything we are growing and expanding.“ He found this interesting given he sees a mixed bag of how companies are fairing given his travels on Royal engagements. Referring back to his email he joked that: “he wasn’t really up on email and he worried about his security around it, but he had 14 year olds looking at it for him.“ Of course he probably means young security advisors from GCHQ. 1111 Sirius Challenge Cup.
Sirius sponsors 11 challenges in our local David Lloyd gym with 11 teams of 11 people competing on Remembrance Sunday for two charities per team - one of which must be a service charity & the other a local charity. The team that has raised the most money coupled with the fastest time will win £1,111 for the service charity they represent & £1,111 for their local charity!
The winning team will also receive a fantastic silver cup & other prizes to be announced later. Check back from time to time to see more news on this fantastic challenge. Together we could raise an awful lot & have a marvellous, motivated & fun time! If we end up having more teams than 11 then that is a happy problem to have. We are also looking at a few David Lloyd gyms participating so we could end up with a lot of teams of 11 competing & helping a lot of charities in the process. Special thanks goes here to David Lloyd in High Wycombe for embracing the idea & helping to develop & making their facilities available. We intend to make this a yearly challenge! Some of the details of this challenge may change as people add input or, modify the challenge to make it even better.
